The Viticulture

Culture, method, dedication and love

Spirit and Method

Motivated by the dream of producing a wine that encapsulates the spirit of the Irpino area, the Sepe family, in 2008, took over a property with adjoining land dedicated to the cultivation of vines, in the municipality of Taurasi.

In the vineyards, which rise on the back of a hill at a height of 450 meters above sea level, a unique vine grows, whose grapes are caskets that enclose the enological history of the area, a history that lives on in the viticulture techniques of Altavigna.

The wines produced are the result of meticulous viticulture typical of these lands: rigorously manual harvesting and selection of the bunches before separating the stalks from the grapes. The winemaking techniques are governed by rigid protocols and implemented with cutting-edge equipment, in a constant process of obsequious evolution. Culture, method, dedication and love are the essential elements to transform the hard work of a vintage in the vineyard in a unique wine, which safeguards and at the same time best reveals the organoleptic characteristics that the territory can give us.
